Sometimes, they do the opposite.
They show the result, but not the reasoning.
The outcome, but not the setup.
So when you try to apply them to your own trip, you are left filling in the blanks.

Great point Tony in all my reports I try at least at the end what the weather was like even including the water temps at the beginning and end of the trip what bait was noticed in the area and what lure or lures were used to mimic the hatch so to speak as well as the wind speed( best guess) what tide phase was happening and specific cover that the fish were relating to when caught and while im no problem im very detailed in all my reports im not bragging by no means I guess its just my baby boomer generation where importance is always in the details you know what I mean because I know you have read and commented on alot of my reports here in northeast fl thanks for the ALWAYS valuable intel because you surely earn your paycheck what saltstrong pays you for being an awesome coach love you guys and thanks for what you do😉👍

Excellent video Tony! There can be some people that are afraid to give specific information about where and what was working, because they might give away that ‘special’ spot.
But they don’t realize that the spot might be know by a lot of people and they fish it.

Super helpful Tony! I just learned something about the insider platform I have missed. The ability to have it generate that AI report from insider data! That is sweet. Up until this point I had been just filtering individual reports and burning up on the water time.
BONUS I think I post relevant information in most of my reports species, baits retrieves locations and how weather influenced choices.. I do need to cut out a bit of story time though

Helpful tips, Tony! There are some Insiders who do a great job on their fishing reports. Way too many are time wasters, and they probably haven’t had the guidance on how to make a good one until you provided some.
Given how Community posts scroll down quickly and Fishing Tips get buried under the more than 5,000 other ones, perhaps SS could help make them better. There are a couple prompts that act as reminders when making a Fishing Report. Why not expand those prompts consistent with the instructions you’re providing here? They don’t need to be mandatory to complete for those knowingly wanting to post “bad” reports.
One thing I find useful in a great report, is a brief intel listing of what didn’t work. This is most helpful when combined with knowing what was working as it can save time and a more complete pattern may emerge. In reconnaissance intel or surveillance, negative intel helps to understand a deviation from an expected outcome. When I read “skunk” reports, rarely does the writer express what was learned from that experience. A skunk can be a teacher too! In accident investigations, they’re typically focused on the negatives to hopefully prevent it from happening again.
Knowing how to use the program makes it that much more valuable. Thank you for the lessons.
