We just added a Launch Spots feature to Smart Fishing Spots.
There are now over 11,000+ kayak/SUP launch spots in the app.
Members can also add spots they find or know of.
All you need to do is click “Launch Spots” on the Layers tab and zoom into the area you plan to fish.
Then, all the launch points in that area will pop up as little pins on the map.
You can click on each pin to learn a bit more about the launch spot as well.
You also can add new spots that you find or launch from yourself to share with others in the Community.

Great addition, but always zoom in on the photo. I found one that I use a lot that had the marker showing south of the highway and it is actually on the north side. I reported it and now I see that it is corrected. I just saw one at Redington Beach that appears to be a dock behind someones house. If you find ones that aren’t correct, they can be corrected.
Yes as more people start to use the feature it will get dialed in much more accurately. Thanks for the feedback Robert!

Thank you for the feedback Michael!

Wow, such a great addition to smartspots! I didn’t use my kayak as much as I wanted too, now this will help me get on the water with my kayak! Thanks Salt Strong! Great intro to this feature Tony!
Time to hit the water!
Great addition to the app, and Tony your communication skills makes it easy to understand and follow along,
Thank you for the great feedback Tim!
This is a great addition to the app for those of us that fish with kayaks. Just quick look through there appear to be a number of marked sites that are already on the water and not direct access from land. One specific area in Aransas Pass, Texas is the Lighthouse Lakes where there are probably 20- 30 sites shown. I suspect they are GPS location for the TPW paddling trail markers in the vicinity.
Thank you for the feedback Mike! Anything that doesn’t look right definitely report it so we can check it out.
