Refresh Your Perspective by Trying a New Spot

Exploring new areas is often rewarding. It mixes things up from fishing the same areas that you always seem to gravitate to, and you might just find your new favorite spot, or at least one to add to the list.
That’s exactly what I did on a recent trip. I went out of my comfort zone and trekked to a new spot. On top of that, I was testing out a new lure. Things started off tough, but it all came together in the end.
In this video, I’ll share a couple of tough breaks (literally) to go along with some solid action and explain how the current trends came into play.

Breaking 2 rods, might have to take a page out of Matt’s book and start carrying a tackle shop full of rods in the back!
No not really just need to get the better ones I use ALL st croix rods and have NEVER broke one yet in fact they are all going on about 8 years old now and all have been hassel free kinda like my last name ha ha but seriously I have found that saltstrong to be very good especially after being a life member since 2018 amd a regular member before the life membership offer in 2017 but when they say there tackle like there rods and reels are the best I beg to differ in fact quite a few members have said after reading there posts on breaking both there tfo rods that saltstrong endorses as well as a few other anglers breaking there reletively new slot machine rods I have been fishing for over 50 years 55 to be exact started when I was 5 like most kids with there father and I’m 60 years old now been fishing the inshore saltwater scene for 22 years of those 55 years and ever since switching from freshwater to saltwater have only broke 1 rod and it was a very cheap Walmart quality Shakespeare that I thought was a deal because it was insane not realizing at the time that alot of things sold from Walmart is substandard quality and that’s usually why it can be purchased for so cheap but getting to the point everyone will tell you that there product is the best I have just learned that it’s up to me to be the judge and not go by reviews or what others think because everyone fishes differently and what works for b some not so with others no matter how good the reviews are or recommendations from a club or even a famous angler for that matter and saltstrong is no different not saying what they sell or use is junk I just know there’s plenty of other manufacturers that are better and that I have found that out because while I do own just about every lure that saltstrong endorses and sells I also own and use alot more other brands in other words don’t make a decision on what others say but find out for yourself enough said🤔
