Saltwater Fishing Subscription Box Review: Badfish Box

Thinking about getting a saltwater fishing subscription box?
In this video, I’m going to be opening up and breaking down one of the Badfish Boxes.
These guys are relatively new, but I’ve heard some good things about them and they specialize in inshore saltwater fishing.
I’ve got the Captain’s option here and I’m going to show you everything you get, how much it costs, and whether or not it’s worth it.
I’ll share my thoughts on the tackle, what I did like, and what I didn’t like.
Now one thing I noticed is that this would not be helpful (and potentially counterproductive) for some anglers, but possibly fun and challenging for others.
To see if this box would be right for you, check out this video.

If you’re an experienced angler and like the challenge of catching fish on new lures, this might be a fun option for you to receive new ones to try every month.
However, if you’re struggling to catch fish, the mixed variety of lures could distract you away from what actually works best.
If this is you, then choose only a handful of lures (we recommend the Alabama Leprechaun and the Slam Shady), get really good at getting fish to strike when using them, and focus on finding feeding fish.
Have you signed up for this box or any other fishing subscription boxes?

I agree with Steven. A SaltStrong starter kit would be great for the new saltwater angler or even a youth backpack option. A while back before the awesome “shop” we have now with Southeastern, we had a SaltStong selection of lures and such. That could be a start. Great idea! Thanks for all you guys do. This is your “Ikigai”. 🙂
Thanks for making time to send in the suggestion! We’re working on something new that I think you’ll really enjoy… hopefully coming soon once we can lock in all the details.
I think ya’ll should review the salt box.
Thanks for the suggestion Caden! I’ll be sure to do some research on the Salt Box.
Hey Luke. We would be happy to send down a couple boxes if your interested in doing a review.
Caden thanks for the mention. Appreciate the continued support.
Luke,
I would like to see Salt Strong put together a backpack with the necessary essentials for basic inshore fishing. I see a lot of teenagers riding their bikes with their fishing poles in their hands and a bag of lures in their hands. If everything were in a backpack it would be easier to handle. Also a fanny pack might also be an option. You can have the initial backpack with with line, pliers, first aid kits, etc. and then have a replenishment on a monthly basis. It would make a nice birthday gift or Christmas gift.
Good idea Steven!
