Skunk Insurance, #1 Enemy, Fishing Theme Park & More

Luke and I sat down to record a special video that’s bursting with big announcements, bold moves, and a few surprises for 2025.

If you’re an Insider or just someone who loves the thrill of fishing, you’re going to want to stick around for this one.

Let me just say this—if you’ve ever been skunked on a fishing trip, we’ve got something that might turn your bad day into a win.

And if you’ve ever wondered what the real problem with the fishing industry is, we’re calling it out in 2025. Oh, and did I mention we’re working on something so big it might change family fishing trips forever?

How does one take advantage of the skunk insurance? I was sure I’d get onto something by hitting the spot dissections I’d seen you guys do but no luck the last two times out sadly.

Thanks for all the cool new stuff coming up this year! So how do you apply for the skunk insurance? Typing it in the search bar on the site just brings me back to this thread. I hate to admit it but I got skunked bad the other day, not a single bite! I covered a lot of water in the Indian River Lagoon, trying around bridge pilings, rocky banks and the outflow at haulover canal. All spots that have usually produced fish this time of year. I figure if your offering I might as well take advantage of it.

I wonder is the newsletter actually a newsletter or a video or sound only podcast? I don’t think I have access to it since I have never seen it. I joined this year as an Insider and just over the weekend I took advantage of the VIP boost to get access to all the additional courses, although I have gone through all the Beginner to Advanced Fishing School content I wanted more and so the VIP access I thought would be great, but being hearing impaired I was greatly disappointed to find that almost none of the courses include Closed caption or any kind of text except just a hand full of pdf files, so it was pretty much a waste of money on my part to upgrade but who knows I may at least get something out of the skunk insurance, though I prefer not to. It would be nice if the Newsletter actually was a Newsletter so I could read it.

Hi Joe. great info. I was wondering if you guys could put a chartresuse color on the Slam Shady pattle tail. I have noticed that the trout are hitting the lures with the chartresuse tail more then the ones that are one color through out.

Reply to  Terry Bues

Hey Terry, we are not able to make the tails a different color due to the mold not being designed for that. Many members have reported that the Optimus Lime color pattern has worked great in situations where fish are responding to a chartreuse tail though: https://fishstrong.com/products/slam-shady-paddletails-2-0?variant=44354506358958
