Twenty-four million young kids are going through life WITHOUT a father in their day-to-day lives.
The stats are incredibly sad when you see that these “fatherless” kids are many times more likely to end up in prison, in gangs, on drugs, and a whole laundry list of other issues that go hand-in-hand without having a father in their life.
So when I found out about the amazing work a non-profit called “Truth In Nature” was doing to give fatherless boys an outlet for hope and family through the outdoors, I had to know more.
Here’s a quick quote from the couple who co-founded the organization:
Jeff & Carrie Davis are the founders of Truth in Nature. Both of them are born again Christians following God’s plan and purpose for their marriage and life. Growing up in western Pennsylvania Carrie had her father pass away when she was twelve years old. As Jeff was a young adult he experienced the divorce of his parents. These experiences and their passion and interest in the outdoors fueled God’s calling for them to reach into the local community and work with young men in these situations when Truth in Nature was formed in 2009.
