Twin Tack – Rod & Paddle Grips

Have you ever wanted to customize your rod or kayak paddle to have a more comfortable grip? If you are familiar with golf, baseball, or even bass fishing you often see tacky, noncork handles to give you a better grip. While there are other options out there, many of them require you to attach a not-so-removable tape. Twin Tack offers a new option, one that is truly removable and will leave your cork handle looking pristine should you choose to take it off! We have now partnered with Twin Tack to bring members 30% OFF their new grip technology!

Our coaches tested these out and gave the stamp of approval. One thing to note is these are not for everyone – it can definitely be a personal preference (similar to split grip vs classic rods). Some of our members have mentioned a thicker rod handle helps with their arthritis, which this product could help with if wrapped to your needs. These are a great option to upgrade a foam handle rod, to protect your cork handle, and most of all to get a better grip. Also, a set would definitely be helpful to add onto your kayak paddle for hand placement and comfort. If this sounds like something you would be interested in – the good news is with your 30% code these only come out to $14.

To claim 30% OFF on these grips use code SALTSTRONG30 and enter it on their site HERE.

This seems like a simple product and looks easy to use and add a ton of comfort.

Very good video and illustration of the product and the applications of the product… Guess I am gonna have to look for this product and give it a try … Is it going to be a product that is going to be in the Salt Strong tackle shop ….. ! Looks like it could be comfortable on the rods for sure especially the deep water rods …… !

Going to check this out. It is disappointing how in recent eras while rods have progressed in design in many ways, grip comfort has become almost an afterthought. New rods are consistently inferior to what was available 20+ years ago. I still use 2 old rods – a Cabelas and a Bass Pro (both spinning rods) that have cork on top the grip all the way across the reel foot. Now,you are often gripping the reel seat itself. I usually fish all-day and a comfortable grip is important!

I wrap my tennis racket handle exactly like this. Tennis shops are not going to have this brand but I think I can use what I have.

I am left handed. The adjusting sleeve that anchors the reel gets loose when I am casting. It looks like this product would prevent the sleeve from loosening.

Hi Richard,

I have had a rod do the same thing. If you back off the the threaded reel seat and give it a wrap with electrical tape, tighten it back up, you should find your problem solved. Good luck.
