Why I Cut My 4-Year Old’s Limbs Off…

My 4-year old son Jackson brought a plant home from school.
At first, the plant did great…
It sprouted, it grew, and it looked healthy.
But before long, almost all of the sprouts were turning brown and dying.
I told Jackson I could help him revive his plant but we’d have to cut off the dying “limbs” as they were sucking up all of the nutrients and would eventually kill the entire plant.
He wasn’t having it.
The thought of us cutting up his plant was too much (even though the same things he was trying to hold onto were the same things killing his plant).
How many of us are holding onto things that are slowly killing us and sucking the life out of us?
It could be a job, a relationship, etc.
I know there are a few things I am incredibly grateful I plucked out of my life…
How about you?
