Depth changes, potholes, and drop-offs are the name of the game on low tide.
The water level was a challenge right off the bat.
I had to move to the outer edge of the flat looking for any depth changes.
I found a school of trout and plucked off a few there.
Later on, I decided to check out an oyster bar to see if I could find a redfish bite.
As we start to get into these cooler months, fish will congregate around oyster bars more frequently because they will heat up faster giving the fish a way to stay warm.
Working the oyster bars and flooded grass, I hooked into a couple of solid redfish.
It wasn’t until I threw the LeBronze Mulligan out that I hooked into the BIGGEST fish of the day.
A giant GATOR trout inhaled the lure not far from the kayak.
