CAST For Kids: Giving Special Kids A Special Fishing Experience
By: Joe Simonds on September 7, 2019
What an amazing experience!
CAST For Kids puts on events where children with special needs get the opportunity to go fishing (often for the first time).
This organization is especially near and dear to our hearts because of our disabled brother and we were recently able to sponsor an event in Rockport, TX.
Check out the highlight video below.

Huge thanks to CAST For Kids for putting on this event!
We were blown away by how well-organized Jim and his team were.
Thank you also to Tom for spearheading this, all the amazing volunteers, the Texas Farm Bureau, and all the other sponsors that made this happen.
Here’s Curtis getting pumped up for a fun morning of fishing!
Each kid got a tackle box and rod and reel combo, plus an opportunity to make some new friends!
Each kid also got a plaque to commemorate their efforts on the water!
Again, huge thank you to our sponsors and volunteers who were able to make this happen!
If you want to learn more about CAST For Kids or support them on their mission to “enrich the lives of children with special needs through fishing” you can do so at their website CASTforKids.org.
This was an amazing experience for the kids, the volunteers, and us.
We’re so thankful for your support, as this allows us to pay it forward and support events like this.
Here’s to making memories that matter!
