I Tested Realistic vs. Old School Lure Colors…

With all the lure colors that are available, have you ever wondered if the hyper realistic color patterns are really better than the solid colors that have been catching fish for decades? In this video we are going to test that very thing, we are putting the new Mullet HD color up against the Slam Shady using the Flea Flicker lure to see if one catches more fish than the other.

Collecting data always helps us understand where the science is heading. I really appreciate these types of comparisons.
Luv these tests!!!
Pat great video and eye opening!
Great report – Thank you Pat. I just rec’d my flea flickers and cant wait to use them.
Let us know how you like them.
Yes a lot more with all lures
We will keep the tests going.
Hello Pat, yes keep posting the tests. All you’re test and tips are very helpful.
I will keep doing them as I can. Thanks for watching!
Love the tests!! Very helpfull
Thanks Kevin!
Think these types of tests provide interesting data. Maybe need repeated over time to provide more reliable information
I totally agree. One day doesn’t tell us much but over a few months or a year can give us more info. I’ll keep doing these and over time hopefully we will see if there’s a clear winner
I don’t think tests like this are valid unless you do this over a much greater number of casts. Lure placement is more important than any color. You can cast a flea flicker to a spot where there’s a fish and catch it, but who’s to say you wouldn’t have also caught that same fish using the other color lure? So, perhaps a thousand casts with each lure color might be more conclusive.
It takes a long time and a lot of casts to come up with a clear answer and in the end it could come to the conclusion that it might not make that much of a difference to matter. We’ll keep doing these and over the long run hopefully come up with more data.
Definitely love seeing tests like this!
We will keep them up!
