How To Rig Soft Plastics For Shallow Water Inshore Fishing

99% of the Inshore fish I catch are in water less than 2ft deep, and you can find them there year round.

The way you rig your soft plastics in this type of situation can be the difference in getting a strike, or just spooking everything you cast at (or getting snagged up)

In this video I will be going over the best ways to rig soft plastics for shallow water situations (4ft or less) and some other factors to consider.

Enjoy!

I’ve always just used different brand and weight of round headed jig heads. (1/16-1/4 oz.)

Always good info Tony, thanks! I heard you mention that you always use a loop knot. I have started using loop knots too. But my lack of experience tying them tends to get me different size loops. Some 1/4” size while some end up about a 1/2” size. Do you think this matters? Does a bigger loop allow for more wobble of the lure? Bigger loop for a bigger bait? What do you think is the proper size? Thanks for any advice.
