Question: Do you know how did peanut bunker get their name “peanut”?
I’ve always wondered because we’ve all heard the phrase elephants eat peanuts (big fish eat small fish) but I’ve never heard the origins that if some captain or region started using the phrase “peanut” and it just stuck, etc.
It’s a good question. I can only guess its purely a size reference for the juvenile bunker, however as with most things there are usually more interesting stories behind nicknames.
