Strong Angler Of The Week: Ian Roodt

What would you rather do…
Catch a 25″ redfish, or watch your son catch a 25″ redfish?
That’s a tough one!
Thankfully, Ian didn’t have to choose as he and his 6-year-old son got the amazing opportunity to double up on 25″ reds at the same time!
The Strong Angler of the Week is an honor that goes out to one Insider who’s out there catching fish, helping others, and making memories on the water with their loved ones.
This week, we’ve got Ian Roodt who had two great days on the water with his son and his wife.
He’s from the West Coast and is new to East Coast fishing, but he’s clearly picking it up quickly.
Check out the conversation with Ian below as he shares the whole story of this past weekend with his family catching nine species of fish, including his first slam, and learn how he’s gotten so good at inshore fishing so quickly.
