It’s rare to have an amendment that BOTH sides fully agree upon. Yet, there is still some confusion on precisely what Florida’s right to fish and hunt amendment means.
So I brought on someone who helped design the bill on the show to get down to the bottom of it.
After you hear this, you’ll know why we should all be voting YES on Amendment 2 here in Florida.

I’m still concerned about the vagueness of traditional fishing methods. I read what you posted about methods in place at the time of passage but it doesn’t say that specifically in the amendment. I hope you are right because the gill netters and other commercials that we fought years ago would be happy to use vagueness to go back to slaughtering our inshore species.
Traditional methods is exactly what is currently in place today. Nothing changes there at all. Keep in mind that the same people and organizations that banned gill nets are the ones who helped write this bill and are helping to push it through. Traditional simply means what is legal in the present moment.
I’m glad to hear about Amendment 2 and what it truly means. Thanks Joe for informing us not just about fishing but about laws that protect both wildlife, anglers, and hunters alike. Awesome job and thanks you for all you do for us. God bless Saltstrong !!!
