Luke- “Texas” has more,ok Wyatt- “Texas has the best redfishery out there” apparently you have not fished Louisiana for redfish much. Texas is a great state no doubt! Not much content for Louisiana, maybe we should join LAFB instead

What questions do you have?
Louisiana takes the cake on redfish, both slots and bulls and it’s not even close…. With the only exception being those extremely heavy bulls on the East coast. I really appreciated everyone’s perspective on this one.
Little to no mention of Louisiana on any of these pod casts. Every time I’ve fished LA the fishing has been incredible. Texas and Florida both offer great fishing and would never turn down an opportunity to wet a line in either place but LA is off the charts. Why no discussion?

Do you guys have any sort of timeline on when the oyster Maps layer will be added for North Carolina
We are waiting for the place where we get that information to update and when they do, we’ll add it in.
Great info and format. Is there any regional difference in redfish coloration? It seems like the reds in my part of north Fl are darker colored compared to the ones I see you catch out in TX or the Ga/Carolina coastlines. Is it geographic or does their coloration just depend on other factors like diet, habitat type, time of year,etc?
I find that it has to do with the water that they’re are in and the diet they consume. The Tannic waters of the gulf coast and NE Florida up through Georgia has some of the darkest reds I have ever seen. I’m in North Florida now and caught one yesterday that was as orange as a koi fish, absolutely beautiful. But the water was super dark. On the other hand in clear water and even ocean dwellers seem to have a silvery color to them. I think it might be natures way of camouflage. I’ve seen this with snook, trout and bass, the darker the water the darker the fish.
Hello guys. I’m new so I’m still learning. Wyatt spoke about the abundance of fish in Texas. Did you mean south of Corpus Christy? I don’t see that abundance in Galveston. I’m probably missing something, but It seems difficult to find fish in Galveston. Am I correct?

Hey Emilio! Sorry for the delay. We’ve been out most of the week filming. Wyatt is still down in Pensacola filming some pier fishing tips. Yes, you are correct that the Corpus area (and south of Corpus) probably has more redfish, but Galveston area is still an amazing redfish area (I used to live there for 4 years). Hit up the jetties and passes right now.

Hey Emilio! I have fished over in Galveston several times and have had pretty good success with redfish there as well! Where abouts are you fishing and what are you fishing out of?
The shore opportunities are a bit limited, but in a kayak, or a boat, Galveston has some incredible marshes for redfishing!
There’s a ton of fish all over Texas! But there’s also a ton of water to cover. Once you figure out the seasonal trends, finding them will be a lot easier!
