Ever find yourself comparing your life to those around you?
Ever look around at everything around you and say to yourself, “I’d thought things would look different at my age?”

Joe,
Hey, what to say thanks for those ground root reminders! Having amazing God fearing & believing parents, I was lucky. This world can get away from us at times. Two words that I try to incorporate into daily actions from my dad “ATTITUDE & GRATITUDE” …we can always have a positive attitude and make sure we express gratitude. Being a small business owner & having the responsibility of raising 2 boys on my own for past 15years has been a true challenge. The reason why fishing is such a passion in my life now and why I’m soooo thankful for SALT STRONG!!Teaching us how to enjoy & succeed in catching more fish. God is GREAT…let’s all respect him by showing kindness to the world and ALL PEOPLE that live it. Loving Life!!
Thanks Joe for that amazing podcast! After at least 50 years of fishing and hunting whitetail deer, both outdoor sports will teach you patience, persistence, and consistency. As a Christian, I believe God has used those three attributes to make me into the person I am today. I believe if young boys and girls had fathers taking them fishing and/or hunting like my dad did with me they wouldn’t be trying to discover their identity. I feel sorry for these kids! My dad and mom also brought me up to love God. My parents didn’t have a lot of money. Far from it. What they did provide for me is more valuable than gold! My dad had a lot to do with teaching me those three attributes at a very young age. As a youngster, I would get frustrated and want to get off the lake. Oh no, we stayed with it till we caught fish or at least give it our best effort. All of this to say, any success in life requires patience, persistence, and being consistent! At 63 years of age I’m still learning and being molded by my heavenly father. That will continue till the day I take my last breath and enter the presence of Jesus Christ!
Thank you Joe for keeping this series going. I really look forward to listening to unchurched!!
