The grouper mastery course is the most comprehensive course that you’ll find anywhere for all grouper species.
So, to highlight just some of the amazing information you’ll learn, we’re revealing the top 3 mistakes to avoid when grouper fishing.
Grouper Fishing Mistake #1: Not Being Aggressive
Before you even know a grouper is hooked, that fish is going to know it’s hooked.
And it’s going to head straight for the bottom to sit and grunt.
That’s going to turn off the bite for everyone in the area.
So you’ve got to crank down fast and aggressive.
The first 5 to 10 cranks are where fish are won or lost!
Put your all into it and hit that grouper with a sledgehammer.
Go hard!
Grouper Fishing Mistake #2: Not Presenting Bait Naturally
You must hold the bottom and present your bait naturally.
And crazy, flashy rigs are unnecessary.
A simple fish finder rig with a slip lead, swivel, 4-6 ft leader, and a strong hook is all you need.
To be successful, you’ll need to hold the bottom with your lead, pay attention, and dance with the boat.
Grouper are smart!
Your bait has to look natural if you’re going to get quality grouper (and a lot of them).
Grouper Fishing Mistake #3: Choosing The Wrong Gear
Make sure you are using the right equipment.
High-speed reels are great for snapper.
And cute reels that match your outfit aren’t going to cut it.
You really want a big nasty reel with a bunch of drag that will get the job done.
Take these three things with you when grouper fishing: big tackle, big bait, and big patience.
Conclusion
With grouper season underway, you’ll want to be sure you’re avoiding these mistakes so you can bring in quality fish!

I think the Fishing Club could provide a valuable service if they would “hook up” with a number of charter captains that would provide a special deal for members…various captains would be verified and members would be sure they were getting guides that know what they are doing, and provide a good experience for all. The experts could incorporate off shore, in shore and surf fishing. The fishing club membership would grow exponentially.
Love this idea! Thank you, Russ
