Have you ever met a mountain of a man and when you go to shake his hand you pray he doesn’t crush it?

That’s how it was when I met Capt. Rob Fordyce aka Voodoo Daddy aka The Seahunter at ICAST last year.

He’s certainly one of the toughest fishermen around and has been competing at the highest level for a long time (and still continues to WIN!).

Capt. Rob has been a tv host, athlete and professional fishing guide for the last 30 years and this episode is full of fun stories and tips from his illustrious career.

In this episode he shares:

  • How he became a fishing guide (and these tactics still work today)
  • What it’s like fishing (and winning) the big tarpon tournaments
  • How he got his start in hosting fishing tv shows (and what it’s really like being a fishing show host)
  • How to get into fly fishing and what NOT do when you first get started
  • The biggest mistake that new anglers make that ruin their chances of catching fish

Wow what an amazing video. And how just a kid and a man become close friends and the love they both have for fishing. You can really tell those two have a lot of history together. Awesome video
