How To Find God (And Actually Hear From Him)

I get some really amazing emails from listeners of this podcast.

Some write in to thank me, some have more questions on a particular topic, and some let me know how timely the message was in their personal life.

But one question I hear time and time again is, “How do I find God and hear from him?”

Looking back at my earlier years, I had some issues with this as well. I didn’t really understand what someone meant when they said, “They heard from God.”

So in this episode, I break down how to find God (and hear from Him).

Enjoy this episode and let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Thoughts?

I’d greatly appreciate any and all feedback by leaving a comment at the bottom of the post.

You have my word I will read every single message (although it might be tough for me to get all of them considering the tens of thousands of people will read and see this).

Finally, I’d really appreciate it if you’d take a second to SHARE this with your friends and family.

Thank you for being part of the Salt Strong family!

Enjoyed the talk today, your guest speaker, “rang our bell”, the police office about Noah’s ark and boats, Today soon we will meet with our neighbors to share a meal and worship, pray around our table in “Homestyle” fellowship, We may even go fishing later. When we served homeless veterans with ptsd the most often heard comment was how they felt betrayed by their respective “church” when confronted with pagans and their lies. They knew the stories but not the whole truth of the simple Gospel, the ancient perfect law of liberty. 1 John 3:22-23, Acts 5:32

Joe, that was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. Learning how to hear the voice of God is an exciting adventure, for sure. When I have the opportunity to share with someone about learning to hear the voice of God, I always start with the Word of God. As we read and study His Word, at some point we will understand something that we never understood before. I like to describe it as a light coming on. I teach people that THAT is the voice of the Lord speaking to you through His Word. The more we read and study the Word, the more God speaks to us in and through His Word. And the more we hear His voice speaking to us in and through the Word, the more familiar we become with the “sound of His voice.” Before long, we find yourself hearing God speak in that same still small voice when we are talking to Him about the kinds of things you mentioned in the podcast.
Thanks for sharing and being so open and transparent. This was the first of these podcasts that I have listened to, but it won’t be the last.

Thank you Joe for having the faith and courage to share your experiences and faith with everyone. We are living in a time where God and faith are minimized, mocked, or discouraged. The reality is that God must be at the center of our lives in order to find true peace and happiness. We need more people like you who have the courage to share their faith to encourage others to seek God. Thank you for doing this and keep up the positive message! God bless you and your family.

God bless you for putting this out there! I actually had God call me on my phone 1 night at 4am. Quite a story! It is so cool to know that there are other Christians out there that love the Lord like I do and love to fish as much as I do!!!
