Old Spots VS. Smart Spots
Often times when returning to old waters where you have caught fish in your usual spots, you will want to return to those exact same spots to catch fish.
However, the truth is that trends and conditions change, and spots from just a few years ago may not be as productive as they once were.
The key is to focus on the game plan lesson for matching the spot selection solely on the weather and the latest feeding trends.

Conclusion
Fishing in familiar waters may seem like the best idea, however, the current feeding trends and weather patterns are your best tools for predicting where the fish might be.
Although it may be tempting to go fish an old spot that you haven’t been to in some time, the feeding trends and weather may have changed to where that spot is not best for that time of the year.
Be sure to stay on top of the current fishing trends to build your trip pre-plan and catch more fish!

Fun report. Have you tested any of the 5 pound braid for actual breaking strength?
Thanks Bill! Yes, I have run two FG knots with the 5 lb power pro connected to 20 lb ande mono leader, and they both broke at just over 11 lbs.
