What do you eat when you’re out on the water?
For a long time, I used to make a sandwich the night before my trip and bring that with me.
But eventually, I got sick of making them and I wanted something hot.
I recently stumbled across Omeals.
These are MREs (meals ready to eat) that heat up without fire or electricity so I decided to give them a try.
As it turns out, they’re actually pretty good.
Check out the video below to see what each meal comes with, how to prepare it, and what it looks like.
P.S. We’re not sponsored by Omeals, I just wanted to share this with you because I’ve been eating and enjoying them myself.

After a long day on the water, especially during the winter when it’s cold out, these meals are surprisingly good.
All you do is put a little bit of water in the package, wait about five minutes for the heater to heat up the food, and you’re good to go!
However, be careful what you do with the heater after you’re done because it will stay hot for a long time and may damage plastic surfaces, like your kayak.
You can get Omeals from Amazon here.
Have you tried these out?
