WARNING: If you are hungry, you might not want to watch this video. This will make it worse.

Last summer I went to go visit my friend Nic, who lives in Hawaii.

We had a blast on the water exploring the different islands and catching loads of fish.

But the fun didn’t stop there…

When we got home Nic cooked up some of the fresh swordfish we caught and it was absolutely delicious!

I convinced him to share some of his secrets and in this video, he’s going to show you a simple recipe for searing fish.

It doesn’t require any fancy cooking equipment or ingredients and it’s great for fish you can eat raw, such as:

  • Wahoo (Ono)
  • Tuna
  • Cobia
  • Swordfish
  • And more

Check out the video below to learn a simple recipe for searing fish.

To make this seared fish dish, here’s all you need:

  • Fresh fish
  • Taco seasoning (or similar seasoning mix)
  • Olive oil, avocado oil, butter, or similar
  • Soy sauce
  • Wasabi
  • Skillet
  • Tongs

And here are the steps to make it:

Step 1: Dry the fish filets with a paper towel

Step 2: Put a thick layer of seasoning on them

Step 3: Throw them in a hot skillet

Step 4: Cook each side of the fillets for about 15 seconds (you want a crust on the outside with the center still raw)

Step 5: Take the filets off of the skillet and stick them in fridge (or the freezer if you’re short on time)

Step 6: Mix a little soy sauce and wasabi

Step 7: Slice the fish into quarter-inch pieces

Step 8: Eat!
