Conclusion
If you want to be able to consistently catch inshore slams throughout the year, you’ll need to be able to rig your soft plastics weedless for fishing high structure zones without getting snagged.

Great job Luke! Including depth charts is a plus! Would a cinch knot or non slip loop be used for these jig heads? Adding which knot is best for each lure and/or set up would be helpful as well. TY! 👊
Thanks George! I use the Non-Slip Loop knot with 2 twists for all lures so that they have as much natural motion in the water as possible.
What weight would you recommend for 100ft?
I’d go with the 2oz for 100 ft of water.

Can you use any type of a circle hook in a weedless application?
Circle hooks do not typically work well with lures… they are best for live/cut bait applications.

Thanks for the video and info Luke. Is there an application you would choose a twistlock swimbait hook over the round eye?
Yes, I use the weighted hooks when fishing in less than 2.5 ft of water. And I go to jigheads like the round eyes when in need of getting lures deeper than 2.5 ft.

Thanks, I used them on Tuesday on the Manatee River. I had tough time finding the fish but when I did, it was on! The weedless football jigs were what they were hitting. With both, Prawn Jr., A small mullet colored paddletail and, a Tweaker.
