The Power Prawn USA Artificial Shrimp Lure Is HERE!!!

Our custom Power Prawn USA lure launched earlier this month to Insider Club members, and the feedback has been amazingly good:

“THE VERY BEST SHRIMP IMITATION I HAVE EVER USED IN MY 60 PLUB YEARS OF FISHING!!!” – from Lee A.

We just got another shipment in, so we’re excited to be able to offer them to all anglers who love catching inshore saltwater fish.

Watch the video on this below to see the great underwater action of these new lures:

Here’s some more feedback we have received from the first round of buyers:

“This is a Game Changer. I caught 5 Reds yesterday with the Power Prawn USA lures. And a Flounder as well.” – Doug Y.

“Used the Power Prawn USA for the first time yesterday. It did not disappoint. Rigged with an Owner TwistLock and Procure scent, I caught five Trout, two Redfish and one Flounder (on a single lure which is still in descent condition). Amazing how realistic it looks and moves in the water. I’m a believer!” – William H.

“Used it for the first time last Thursday and caught a 22” redfish on the first cast!” – Frank J.

“Our new go to… guys on my boat were trading me beers for them once we got on the fish.” – from Brad H.

Most of the strikes occur when the lure falls back down to the bottom after twitching it, so that’s the time when it’s most important for the lure to look as natural as possible.

After testing a variety of shrimp lures over the years, we eventually realized that the appendages and the segmented tail designs on other shrimp lures are more directed to sell for humans than it is to trigger strikes from fish.

Another benefit to the this more streamlined shrimp lure (with the appendages) is that the streamlined design enables further casts and longer skips relative to other shrimp lures of its size.

As mentioned above, these shrimp lures are so good that we offer a “favorite shrimp lure guarantee” in which you get your money back if you don’t believe they are your favorite shrimp lure after putting them to the test.

So you have nothing to lose by at least giving them a try.

Has anyone tried these in the surf, or off a fishing pier?

I have used them in the surf for sight fishing snook, and they have worked great. If using off of a pier, just make sure to use a jig head heavy enough to enable you to bounce it along the bottom near some structure, and it should work great.

i fish in la. this would be a good item to downsize to 3 inches. the shrimp in the marsh are rarely as big os your prawnns.

Perfect timing for you to mention this because we are in production for our first batch of 3.5 inch Power Prawn USA lures right now… should be ready for adding to our site towards the end of April.

Thanks so much for ordering the new Power Prawns! I hope you like them as much as I do…. they have quickly risen to my #1 lure for fishing docks (all depths) and for sight fishing up in the shallows.

Excited to get these prawns. I really want to rig one on the 5/0 Owner Twist lock 1/4oz. What is your experience with rigging on the OTL??

Luke Simonds

Hey Anser, my apologies for missing your question. I have not yet tried rigging the Power Prawn USAs on the 5/0 OTL hooks yet, but they should work out pretty well since the 4/0 OTW hooks are a bit too small.

Any thoughts on making a Junior size similar to the two sizes (regular and junior) for the Brazilian version that you guys already sell?

Hey Mark, my apologies for missing your question when it came in. Yes, we are actually very close to having the 3.5 inch Junior size ready along with the rigging needed for them… should be ready within the next couple months.

As I did purchase both the regular and jr prawns a couple weeks ago I did notice that the more I used these lures the more the black on the eyes seemed to come off but no biggee I doubt very much if the fish care I only caught 1 nice trout on it so far but I know I’ll catch more the only other drawback I found was in putting in the rattles I found that you must push them all the way to the front of the lure or they will fall out after a few casts hey but no lure is perfect but I’ll admit the power prawn is a good one for sure😉👍

Thanks for making time to post the nice comment Steven! I noticed the same thing in which the black paint on the eyes of the Brazilian PP lures getting rubbed off after a fish or two. But what I did not notice after using those lures for 2 years is a difference in fish caught when the eyes were painted vs. when the paint was off. I think that fact that they eyes stick out so far works great.

What color are you having the most success with? I fish mostly clear water with light bottoms.

I have only been using the natural color so far since the Slam Shady one is brand new. My latest trips have been in clear water, so I can say for sure that the Natural color works great for that.

Pat did a video showing advanced ways to use Owner Twist Lock weighted hooks, he added a split shot to increase weight for deeper depths. Seems reasonable, should that work with this new bait to allow deeper while being weedless?

Luke Simonds

Yes, that can certainly work.

Note: I am almost done designing a weedless jig for these Power Prawn USA lures that’ll be a better solution for covering deeper structure without getting snagged.

What type of material is it made out of?

Luke Simonds

These lures are made from a hard plastisol so that it can withstand junk fish abuse while still being easy to rig and use.
