This is a simple dropper rig with a weight on the end and your hook a few inches above that.

On the hook is a small piece of shrimp.

Simply pinch the fan of the tail off of the shrimp and cut off a small chunk of bait.

Slide a #4 hook through the meat of the shrimp and come out through the top.

You want to use at least 20lb monofilament, a #4 bait hook, and a 1 oz. bank sinker to assemble this dropper rig.

This is an easy way to get quick tight lines when days are slow.

Or it can fill up the live well to go out and target bigger fish!

I guess im confused are you using the shrimp to catch more bait or game fish? Of coarse it really doesn’t matter to me because I haven’t used live bait and when I did it was live shrimp in at least 15 years don’t care for the hassel of keeping them alive or the stink of using it and besides I probably have just about every shrimp lure on the market that’s available and a heck of alot of imitation mullet, crab, and pilchard aka menhaden lures out there and while catching fish is the main obvious objective getting skunked isn’t all bad because for me at my age just being on the water escaping the crazy stupid confusing sometimes evil world is enough to male my day I feel sorry for guys and gals that only watch sports on TV or go to games only to spend a crap load of money watching it then coming home with nothing to show for there efforts unlike me that usually does pretty good that now has something for dinner fresh fish that’s good for you and if bought in a supermarket would cost a pretty penny no sir can’t see spending alot of money on something and after it’s said and done leave with nothing to show for it but that’s me what others do in this crazy world is what they do and I don’t fit in anyways sorry for getting off the subject just saying but thanks anyways for everything amazing you do for inshore saltwater fishing I might be old enough to be your father but your the teacher on this life subject that’s for sure😉👍
