Since someone else said 90/10, I think Salt Strong might consider being more accurate and announce its own newer, better rule: the 99/1 fishing rule.
Clearly 99% of the fish being in 1% of the water is more accurate and, in my opinion, will cause new anglers to focus that much more on “The Where” to fish.

Agreed. The hundred bucks I spent here catches more fish than the same money spent on a new rod fishing the same spots in the same way. Of course I did buy a new rod, not from the club, but I went to 7’6″ and liked it. (Bull Bay Banshee). Still, what you get here is where and how to fish, not looking for the secret spot or magic lure.

You made (or it just registered in my head) 2 points differently in this podcast as compared to previous 90/10 discussions, if your in a spot where you are reeling in fish nonstop, you are in the 90/10 zone (that never registered until you said it). That coupled with the other key point that registered, fish are not static, they are dynamic.
The variables are constantly changing and clearly why any fishing spot may not always be a ringer. Understand those variables and you are in for a world of fun fishing. Thanks guys!
Thank you for this, Josh. Yes, this whole 90/10 thing took a long time to sink in for us. But once we “got it” everything changed.
