Matt and I took the boat out to fish a high outgoing tide all the way through to low tide.

The objective of this trip was to fish bank lines, flooded structure, and grass lines.

We chose these areas because they are most likely to be filled with shrimp and big baitfish like finger mullet this time of year.

The wind and weather were both working with us on this trip which was a huge boost along the way.

After reeling in a trout using live shrimp, I tossed on a Natural Power Prawn USA to see how it would perform.

Once you have an idea of where the fish are held up, you can try switching over to artificial.

This is a great way to save your live shrimp and really dial in on the feeding patterns.

Furthermore, it’s always a bonus when you have multiple people fishing with you.

Matt was able to use a different presentation than I was which adds to uncovering feeding patterns.

Also, they can help you get the fish in the boat!

Shrimp was the ticket on this trip – in either form!!

Fall is one of the best times of the year to break out artificial shrimp imitations and crush fish.

Fish need to stock up on calories and as water temperatures decline, their diet shifts heavily toward crustaceans and shrimp!

That bridge behind you in the photo with the big redfish sure looks like the damespoint in millcove in Jax fl it’s my number 1 area lots of creekmouths and grasslines with scattered oysters and grassy islands with tons of points an inshore anglers dream not to mention the numerous docks that can be fished as I do at night although in the last few years I have only found 1 real good dock that at times has alot of nice trout under it I usually do best on an outgoing tide about the latter half when the current is the strongest and yes plastic shrimp are great lures to use in the fall and winter time but I have yet to catch anything on the USA jr power prawn only 1 nice trout last year on the jr Brazilian prawn by an oyster lined bank that dropped off into deeper water that was in a small creek via sisters creek area in Jax fl but one of my favorite shrimp lures is the chasebaits flick prawn in jelly color a dead ringer for the pink shrimp that inhabit our area of northeast Florida extremely lifelike and its weedless and also has an internal rattle I have caught alot of fish on this shrimp lure but I have all 4 kinds of power prawns that saltstrong sells the regular in both the Brazilian and USA and the jr in both Brazilian and USA as well plus all the hooks and jigheads that are ment for them I guess I just need to fish them more because my confidence in them is limited anyways thanks for the info and all you do😉👍
