On-The-Water Action

I found myself on fish right away.

The Ned Rig Mulligan was working very well and a few GATOR trout couldn’t resist!

The tide was super low and the fish were just as spooky.

Clear skies, clear water, and the negative tide made me lean for the Alabama Leprechaun Jerk Shad.

That is my go-to lure in these conditions.

A few casts later, about a 26-inch redfish slurped it down and the fight was on!

The redfish was sitting in a deeper hole just off of the flat I was fishing.

During negative tides, these fish love to find deeper pockets to hunt and wait for the tide to fill back in.

On the way back to the launch, I threw some more casts over oyster beds and started plucking fish off on every cast.

There was absolutely no shortage of gator trout EVERYWHERE.

I had never been to this spot before.

But using the current trends and my knowledge of the 90/10 Fishing Recipe lead me to the feeding fish.
