Salt Strong Insider Club Reviews

One of the other top questions we receive from saltwater anglers is, “Does the Salt Strong membership work?”

Well, with 20,000+ members (and new members joining every hour), we know it works.

But here’s what just a few of our members are saying about the Salt Strong Insider Club:

Guys, since joining as an “Insider” I have viewed several of the available courses and master series courses and can state without hesitating that in my 50th year of fishing and 30th + year of serious tournament level bass fishing that I have never seen such quality content. I’ve had the good fortune to share a boat with some of the biggest names in bass fishing and attended countless boat shows as a sponsored angler doing seminars & helping others learn. I did a lot of listening to touring pros giving seminars on various topics and learned tidbits here and there. Nearly all were good and some were amazing but none were ever as detailed and geared toward really sharing the “inside scoop” on the how, why, where, and when as this staff is; it’s simply outstanding.

The detail that Tony Acevedo goes in to in his video descriptions is nothing short of perfect and his delivery and demeanor is equally as good. The soft plastic jerk bait series is a perfect example as are many others.

The same applies to Luke, Wyatt, Peter, and others who have done in depth full and/or mini video series on a particular technique be it tackle, species, or situation specific.

The angler who comes to this community with an open mind and a willingness to learn cannot help but get better. I thought I knew plenty (and still do on some very specific bass angling techniques that I use inshore and nearshore quite a bit) but am just blown away by how good these guys are and how they break things down for their audience. These guys show us all daily how there is no end to learning how to be a better angler and how having a true desire to get better every day will yield the best quality results for you and your co-anglers/guests/family, etc.

We’re so fortunate to have access this resource. The bass world has nothing like Salt Strong; it’s too competitive and the information is held very close to the vest by the elite anglers as they can’t afford to have it become common knowledge or it may cost them $500K winning the classic or $100K winning a stock tour event, etc. I used to write various technique articles regularly on Bass Boat Central and other bass sites that were met with gratitude or sometimes a stern “shut up” and stop sharing that detail by other tournament guys and that attitude has hurt the sport because novice anglers get overwhelmed and caught up in the wrong time and money investment (usually tackle, electronics, boats, etc) and never really improve.

Salt Strong is the polar opposite. I hope you agree and really value the amazing tribal knowledge that lies within this community of staff and members. It’s off the charts. Thanks Joe & Luke for breathing life in to this thing; it’s just spectacular.

And here’s another!

I wanted to take a moment to thank Salt Strong for facilitating this fantastic community. I was fortunate enough to be considered angler of the week last week and it was flattering to say the very least. The interview was short and fun, but I wanted to elaborate on why I think Salt Strong is so great. And, why I believe it to be so beneficial in so many ways.

There is no direct science to fishing. The world and motivations surrounding whatever species we target is fuzzy at best. This is the reason we chalk it up to “that’s fishing” when we have a bad day. Even the people we hold in high regard for their fishing abilities have days when they get skunked. We all have them. It simply lets us know we don’t know as much as we think we know. And, what we actually know is such a tiny fraction of that. As good as an angler may be, or as much knowledge as one angler might have, they will never know more than the collective group of all anglers. It’s because of this I believe I have learned such a great amount from Salt Strong. And, why I believe it is such a must-have membership for all.

I try to listen to everyone as if they know something that I don’t. Because they do. Reading, responding to people’s posts and writing my own gives a unique ability to factor others’ experiences into my own and, with a little luck, have a better fishing day when I go out. If I learn one thing, just one, that I didn’t know before I logged on, when I do, I’m a better fisherman. And, when I add up all of the little things, I equate it to being a hell of a lot better than I would have been had I not been part of such a community.

It really is amazing to me. I have social media pages and its crazy how much tear and divide there seems to be out there. People are so quick to rip into people for being “wrong”,Or “not knowing what they are talking about”. Some people are so opinionated and honestly think they know more than everyone else. In the Salt Strong community, you see none of that. Everyone is so warm and ingratiating all the time, always ready to pat each other on the back. Or, show someone how to tie a knot. Or, inform others of a new technique.Or, steer someone away from a fish losing mistake. Everyone is lifting everyone else up in the most positive way. Even giving constructive criticize is dealt with in the most inspiring ways. It’s all in an effort from everyone to get better at what we all love to do. We are all united by the goal we set our aims on, fishing. Salt Strong has given us a platform to do such a thing. It truly is beautiful.

Thank you Salt Strong!

P.S. Here’s a picture from last week. Immediately after the interview I went fishing. I was using a catch 2000 in an area I know to hold big trout. An over-sized boil disturbed the calm waters surface and a tight line indicated to lean into a hook set. Immediately upon doing so drag began to peel off the reel under the load of a heavy fish. I saw a big silver flash in the near distance and was instantly taken aback. This is the one… Nope, turned out to be a black drum hahaha. 8#’s, no slouch. It was exciting in the end though. My dad had just been talking the night before about wanting to go target black drum, (he prefers them even to redfish) so it all worked out.

Hey Howard!

I don’t think any of us here have actually tried using tube worms, but I am definitely curious now! We’ll be sure to test that out!
