Are you sick of rigging Z-Man lures weedless, just to have them slide down the hook after every cast?
Although the Z-Man ElaZtech material is great for it’s stretchiness and durability, it can be pretty annoying to rig weedless.
But here’s the good news: there is a way to keep the hook from sliding down.
All you have to do is position the lure a little bit differently on the hook and tweak it so that it actually stays there.
Check out the video below to see how to do just that.

Sometimes when you try to skin hook Z-Man lures, you don’t actually penetrate the lure, the hook just sort of pokes it.
Then, when pressure comes down on the lure, it easily slides down the shank.
So to make sure you actually get the hook into the body of the lure, push the lure forward, move it up slightly, then slide it back over the hook point and pull the bait back.
This will get the hook point and barb into the lure, which will keep it from sliding down the shank.
