I had an INSANE day wading for redfish at low tide last weekend!!
My brother and dad joined me for a day of wade fishing and fun down in Baffin Bay, Texas.

It has been so hot lately and the winds have died down on the flats.
This makes me think the fish have moved towards the edges of flats in search of stable temperatures.
We made sure to put ourselves in the right type of spot with some structure and tons of bait around.
With this in mind, pretty much right out of the gate, we started catching fish.
It was mostly some trout and ladyfish mixed in while my brother was catching redfish left and right on top of the flat itself.
Later in the day, during low tide, I knew we would have a chance at more redfish in a different spot.
There would be some excellent sightcasting opportunities ahead but we had to dodge the clouds as well.
The Slam Shady 2.0 was the ticket!!
We were waiting for the sun to poke out of the clouds and taking shots at fish as they came by.
Conclusion
I could sightcast redfish with the Slam Shady 2.0 in the shallows ALL DAY LONG!!!
The Slam Shady 2.0 paddletail is an excellent sightcasting lure because you can see it really well in the water and you can manipulate and retrieve it easily.
Redfish, black drum, and anything hungry on a flat will strike the Slam Shady 2.0 if it comes across their face.
