First, take the tag end and wrap it around the main line to create a small, initial loop.
Then, take the tag end of the line and run it back through the eye of your jighead or hook.
Next, feed the tag end back through the first loop you made.
Twist the tag end around the main line two times.
Then run the tag end back through the loop and pull snugly.
That is the non-slip loop knot in less than 30 seconds!!!

Started using this knot today on the leader tied to braid with the fg knot. so far so good multiple trout later. Pretty cool to learn new, effective knots after 20+ yrs of fishing.
Salt Strong needs to get Luke and his knot testing machine to test the Kreh Loop Knot versus the Kryston Loop Knot. Kryston is much easier to tie and adjust the size of the loop but if it is not as strong then the Kreh is the way to go.
Really great and easy knot. I also use the Kryston Non slip knot. One advantage with the Kryston is that you can adjust the size at anytime and you can start with a very large loop that for some is easier to tie and adjust the size of the loop or the proximity to lure eye by pulling on the appropriate side of the overhand knots. You do however, have to go through one side of the overhand knot twice and then cinch it tight with a final overhand knot instead of making turns around the standing line (optional).
When discussing loop knots I don’t see any information on surgeons knots versus the Kreh loop knot. I have looked on some other websites and it seems to feel that the surgeons knot is possibly the strongest of the loop knots.
Is this knot good for braid.
Absolutely not good for braid unless you want to lose every lure you cast!
Great knot Wyatt! Been using it for the last 55+ years! Simple plus very strong. Rarely does this knot fail.
Do you think that will hold in Braid?
The canoe man loop knot does not work with braid fishing lines.
Great quick tutorial, Wyatt!
I like that the tag end points down so if you keep the length short you don’t have to necessarily trim it.
great stuff !!!
