Yea the last couple times it has been rough but at least no skunk showed up I haven’t been skunked in a while now but if the weather would cooperate a little more I’m sure I would do much better old man winter is really trying to not let go for instance the water temps have been in the high 60s in the early morning hours then in the afternoon warming to low 70s wich generally for me topwaters would work great right?!! Yea but then we here in jax fl have been getting alot of rain and wind mudding up the water then the report for this weekend calls for morning temps in the 40s again?!!! Then only in the low 70s during the day not good very difficult trying to pattern them or as your brother like says figure out the trends I have always heard the term pattern by freshwater bass anglers but it’s all the same hopefully the pattern or trends in the weather will cooperate better here in the near future then I’m sure at least for me the fishing will get better but at least you guys are humble about it because we all experience it because if everybody caught fish all the time they would be soon depleted to near extinction and the ones not kept for food and released would be to darn smart to catch and then why would or could you guys still operate saltstrong there would be no purpose but thankfully nothing is perfect so we all just keep learning and I thank you guys for all that you teach us when I first joined in 17 I thought I was taking a chance at being scammed but I’m sure as heck glad you proved me wrong😁😉👍
Tough days make the great days that much better.
A couple of questions…..
1) Is the rod going to be a graphite/carbon composite? What will the sizes and specs be?
2) Have you thought of building a suspension lure?
3) Can you build a Slam Shady that is bicolor? A greenback or black/white would be great when it comes to match the hatch.
4) Can you build your own bucktail and make them affordable?
Great questions:
1) The first rod will be for general inshore fishing: 7’6″ fast action blank from 12K High Modulus Fiber with a line range of 8 to 15 lbs
2) Yes, we have some samples that we’re testing
3) Yes, but that’ll likely be a while since the full body color patterns seem to work equally well
4) We were on that path, but the cost of bucktail went up significantly last year to the point where it was not possible to build one that was affordable.
Yep, we all have those days — too many of ’em.
I would have figured one of you would have at least checked your own data before venturing out on this doozy. Gusto move!
Get ’em next time. 😉
If only the fish were always willing to eat. It’s always fun to give it a try though even when the conditions aren’t ideal.
Your bad days give me strength to fish on. 😁
Glad to see that you enjoyed this video
