Luke, those were beautifully bronzed Reds. Gorgeous coloration.
The water is just the right color for giving those redfish a cool bronzed look.
Well now… only thing left to do is take a third rod with you and up your game… Go for three… (might need Otis to help you there…) 😅 Good stuff…👏
Haha! Had Otis been there, it most likely would have been a skunk trip because he is so loud on the boat and those reds are finicky:)
I caught 3 keeper reds today and a 26 inch trout, but you REALLY got into em!
Great work on the fish catching Luke!
Doubled up on reds out of the same school last fall in the Pamlico Sound behind Hatteras Island, NC. Cast to one, the school spooked and a second one hit a partial pinfish chunk I had forgotten about that was on a second rod out behind the kayak. Great memory. Way to go Luke – beautiful fish.
How cool!
I would like you to say where you are when making your videos. Also, how about some videos of fishing from the beach or a nice spot near some mangroves while on land. I don’t at this time have the pleasure of owning a boat and I get all jealous watching you catch these beautiful fish. Just kidding but I sure love your videos.
Thanks for making time to post the nice comment Sue! Please know that there are plenty of good spots that are accessible by foot… it’s just tough to film those trips since there’s nowhere to put the camera equipment.
Good job Luke….
I did the same thing with a snook & a red two weeks ago….adrenaline rush for sure!
How cool that you had a snook & red combo double!
Beautiful reds Luke and nice work on the double. Better than pinfish and lizzards (which are all I can find lately).Red tide is killing me here in Sarasota.
So sorry to see that the red tide is still bad down there! Hopefully it clears out soon.
Now you’re rubbing it in Luke! That’s amazing!
Thanks Mario!
That’s the kind of ” DOUBLE TROUBLE ” that’s welcomed !!! Fantastic experience Luke, congrats & thanks for sharing !!!
Thanks George!
Two questions. 1. Would a dip net make it easier to handle the fish? 2. Where’s Otis?
Yes, a landing net would have been helpful. But redfish are pretty easy to handle so it wasn’t an issue to not have one. Otis was at home because it was too calm out that day… I only bring him on windy days since he makes so much noise.
