Conclusion
Wade fishing has its very own set of advantages and challenges when compared to fishing from a boat or other type of vessel.

How do I book a trip with Dave?
What a fun day!! Nothing better than wading… especially with Dave!
I’m getting the Texas itch!
Hi all, as usual good video and informative as well as entertaining. I’m sure that Wader Dave encounters rays quite often. Any tips besides doing the “stingray shuffle” that may help in keeping them a distance away?
I see rays just about every time I’m out. I strongly suggest you wear a pair of booties with a hard plastic or rubber sole, shuffle your feet, move slowly and watch where you are stepping. If you see a Ray, walk around it or poke it with your rod tip so it will swim away.
Always enjoy waderdave in the water and talking fishing.
Thanks William. Glad you enjoyed the podcast.
Good info and podcast! Great tip about not reeling all the way in to handle the fish.
Thank you, Mark. It’s always a blast fishing with Wader Dave
What we’re you all using for a backpack and rod holder?
I was using a rod holder from Wade Right. I’ve been using it since my trip to Texas in March and have been very pleased with it. It holds the rod and reel high enough that it’s not likely to get dunked, as often happens when wearing belts around the waste. It also keeps your rod angled away from your casting arm so you don’t hit the second rod when casting. It takes a bit to get used to but once you do – it’s a winner in my opinion. You can check it out at – http://www.waderight.com and it costs $49.99.
Thank you Dave!
