Follow the birds to find the fish!!!
Birds are a quick indicator of bait in an area.
And where there’s bait, there’s FISH!
Check out how I used the birds to slam fish in a new area below!

LURES USED ON THIS TRIP:
Where there’s birds, there’s likely fish.
Both birds and predatory fish want to corner and attack schools of bait.
On my last trip out, I saw a bunch of birds congregating in one area.
It was murky and there wasn’t really any water movement at all.
But if there are signs of life, it’s always worth throwing a few casts.
I’m sure glad I went over to check it out!
I ended up cruising up and down the shoreline plucking off redfish as I went.
The Z-Man Kicker CrabZ and Wake Bait were the ticket.
A cold front dropped the water temperature so the crab lure dragged on the bottom was the ultimate weapon on this trip.
Also, flooded grasslines are an excellent spot to find redfish.
Be sure to cast as close as you can to these areas and look for signs of feeding fish.
More often than not, you can call those fish out to strike!
Go ahead and let me know what you though of this trip down in the comments section!!

Wow that looked fun! Seemed like a really fast retrieve (faster than I usually use with this lure) but it clearly worked! How and when do you vary your retrieve with the Kicker Crab?
Thanks Matt

Got to get CRABBY !!! Great work Matt !!!
Thanks Matt. Great informative video
I could swear I saw this video before? Buy anyways I thought this video was about finding birds to find the fish? You only mentioned birds once also your lucky because the last couple times using the smart spots app I was skunked even after fishing in areas that were marked excellent i also had solid plans that day but i will admit i didnot use the kicker crab even though I bought some from the saltstrong store when you guys first got them in but as far as birds go if any member to saltstrong doesn’t know that they are great indicators of bait and fish then they never watched Luke and Joe’s introduction video when you first join saltstrong talking about the 3 b’s birds, bait, and boils which are predator fish being spooked in an area leaving a puff or boil of mud or sand anyways your a great angler that’s for sure thanks for the video and info and all you do👍😀
